Eco-Warriors Receive Materials to Rebuild Homes After Odette

The journey to recovery continues for our Eco-Warriors from Jacana, one of the communities hardest hit by Typhoon Odette on December 17, 2021. Many of their homes were left with broken roofs and shattered walls, making daily life even more difficult for families who were already struggling.

The journey to recovery continues for our Eco-Warriors from Jacana, one of the communities hardest hit by Typhoon Odette on December 17, 2021. Many of their homes were left with broken roofs and shattered walls, making daily life even more difficult for families who were already struggling.

This week, hope arrived in the form of construction materials—roofing sheets, wood, and nails—donated by kind-hearted individuals and partners who responded to the call of our Help on Wheels Project. These materials will allow our Eco-Warriors to start repairing their homes and give their families a safer place to rest and recover.

For Nanay Lydia, one of our community leaders and a dedicated Eco-Warrior, the support means more than just physical repairs. “Salamat po sa inyong tulong sa amin. Malaking bagay po na makatanggap kami ng pang-ayos sa sira-sira naming bahay dahil kay Odette,” she shared with deep gratitude.

Project Zacchaeus (PZC) extends heartfelt thanks to its friends at Clean Cities Blue Ocean and generous individuals who quietly gave from their own pockets to make this possible. Your compassion has brought comfort, dignity, and strength to families determined to rise again.

This is the spirit of bayanihan—neighbors helping neighbors, communities lifting each other up, and strangers becoming family through kindness.

Mabuhay po kayong lahat! 💚
