Lydia, the president of Samahan ng Mamamayan ng Jacana shared her stories as a waste picker and the initiatives implemented by the USAID-funded Eco Kolek.
Socrates was amazed at how this project was able to empower the informal waste pickers of Puerto Princesa by giving them insurances, uniforms, vehicles, and tools so they can execute their jobs better, and safer.
