Last March 15, we had the pleasure of hosting the heads and thought leaders of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), who traveled all the way from their Washington DC headquarters and other Western countries. It was an honor to have them visit us.
During their visit, our Eco Warriors had the chance to interact with them and share their stories, which was a valuable experience for them and helped boost their confidence and pride.
We also shared our Eco Kolek Project Zacchaeus' narrative story, highlighting our journey of co-creation and innovation in developing community-based business models with our partners, including USAID, CCBO, the City Government of Puerto Princesa, and others.
Our discussions covered various topics such as leadership and empowerment, waste management, agriculture, and food security.
Their diverse expertise in different fields inspired us, and we were humbled by their interest in learning more about the development works we have been doing with our grassroots communities. We were also delighted to meet a pioneering expert who was with USAID Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO) in Washington DC, and learn from their experience.
We would like to express our gratitude to ICMA for visiting us, and we look forward to continuing to co-create innovative solutions. We firmly believe that strong public-private partnerships are essential in creating sustainable efforts to improve the well-being of our grassroots communities.
Thank you, USAID Philippines and CCBO, for giving us the opportunity to showcase our impacts to this esteemed group.
